Exchanges Exchanges!

Image
Hey everyone! Hope yall had another amazing week! My week here in Oakley California was great! This week we had some meetings which meant we had to sit in 2 hours of rush hour traffic .  But it was great. I gave my first zone training it was crazy bc we had like 3 days to prepare but we were able to do it and I thought it was pretty awesome!  We saw many miracles this week! Mostly on exchanges. Exchanges are basically where you switch comps for the day and we have to do alot of Exchanges because there's 8 companionships of elders we can do Exchanges with. But this past week we had 3 Exchanges! We saw lots of miracles not only in our area but in the areas of the elders we were doing Exchanges with! Truly shows God is listening to our heartfelt prayers! No other major updates. We are preparing still for the zone conference which will be conducted by my comp and Elder Sabin of the seventy will be presiding. Pretty cool! So lots of prep for that!  Spiritual thought ...

Sharing Some Gospel!

The gospel today touched me. It made me think of the work you are doing. The way that you have let Gods love evade you during your time as a missionary. I know that this elevation with stay with you even beyond your mission. I love you! I miss you!    Friends, in today’s Gospel, Jesus charges us to be merciful and to stop judging others. But we cannot perform such behaviors on our own strength—we need God’s assistance. In the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew, Jesus tells his followers: “Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” The perfection that he urges—which includes a radical love of enemies, the practice of nonviolence in the face of aggression, the refusal to judge one’s brothers and sisters, and an embrace of poverty, meekness, and simplicity of heart—is not desirable or even possible within a natural framework. The form of life outlined in the Sermon on the Mount would strike Aristotle as excessive and irrational—and that is just the point. Its viabili...

Busy Busy!!

Wow what a busy week! This one's gonna be short but got transfered I have a new comp and a new area. I'm in Oakley and Brentwood which compared to Oakland is the boonies. It looks a lot like gilbert and queen creek which freaks me out a bit haha! Lots of farm land and tract homes. I already love the members tho!! Already had to speak in church last second haha! And we cover 2 wards one being a YSA which is cool and super different!  They also made me a zone leader which I already know is gonna be a challenge! Haha pretty stressful but I'm hyped to get to know everyone in my stewardship! We've already been super busy not getting much sleep. Lots of reports and planning for trainings! And we have to plan to conduct zone conference where 2 general authorities will be there so that's exciting!! Lots of work but we are excited to do it!  Spiritual thought will be short and sweet today! I was reading in alma 36 the best chapter in alma and I was pondering on the pure joy ...

I Think The Chiefs Are Causing Riots Here...

Hello everyone!!! It was another great week and no I haven't been harmed by any riots! Haha I just know all the niners fans here are salty. Yesterday was the first time in my life I think I haven't watched a super bowl...not even lying. I think I was probably a baby watching back in the day! I know my pops was putting me in front of that TV .  Lol anyways it was a great week! Many miracles! One of the cool experiences we had was we helped a part member family move some things into a storage unit.  And the husband was a professional soccer player for the team here the Oakland Roots! I thought that was pretty cool! And they want us to come over soon to eat and share the Gospel with them!!! So service is a blessing! We found someone to teach!  Another great miracle was our friend Moses made it to church finally. We were honestly scared for him to come to church because he's a little loud and he has pretty bad hygiene. But we got real with him and told him if we got him ...

Another Baller Week

Hello everyone it was another great week here in Oakland! Oakland is truly starting to become one of my favorite places on earth. It's not very pretty or pleasant or anything but there are some of my favorite people here! And that's all I could care about! But for all those worried about me no need to worry I love it here and Oakland is actually safe.... If you're not silly. Anyways. I love it here  One of my favorite things about being a missionary is being led to people who you know God needed you to meet that day! It's so crazy and miraculous how guided we truly are. The holy ghost is real and it is with us! We also had a miracle happen. We had a few friends actually come to church and we were a little scared because it was fast and testimony meeting in the 9th ward. But the miracle was everyone who bore their testimony had it centered on Jesus Christ. No sketchy testimonies about psychedelics or drugs or horse tranquilizers. So it was a great sabbath!  Spiritual tho...
