Exchanges Exchanges!
Hey everyone! Hope yall had another amazing week! My week here in Oakley California was great! This week we had some meetings which meant we had to sit in 2 hours of rush hour traffic. But it was great. I gave my first zone training it was crazy bc we had like 3 days to prepare but we were able to do it and I thought it was pretty awesome!
We saw many miracles this week! Mostly on exchanges. Exchanges are basically where you switch comps for the day and we have to do alot of Exchanges because there's 8 companionships of elders we can do Exchanges with. But this past week we had 3 Exchanges! We saw lots of miracles not only in our area but in the areas of the elders we were doing Exchanges with! Truly shows God is listening to our heartfelt prayers! No other major updates. We are preparing still for the zone conference which will be conducted by my comp and Elder Sabin of the seventy will be presiding. Pretty cool! So lots of prep for that!
Spiritual thought this morning as I was reading in 3 Nephi 12 and Mathew 5. In 3 Nephi basically the whole book is the resurrected Christ visiting the ancient Americas after completing his atonement and triumph over sin and death! I love the saviors words in 3 Nephi 12:48 which is compared to Mathew 5:48. It says " Therefore I would that ye should be perfect even as I, or your father who is in heaven is perfect." I love this because throughout the chapter christ throws at us a lot of commandments and hard things to do! The natural man in us would turn away and be discouraged. But we aren't looking to the mark. We have to think about what the atonement of Jesus Christ is and what it teaches us about his grace. His grace is sufficient for all of us is saying that if we do all we can to be perfect and repent daily and get as close as we can to perfection. Then even then we won't be perfect in this mortal life. But because of Jesus Christ's atonement we are promised as we live like him he will meet us where we are at. His grace is sufficient doesn't mean. " Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die; and it shall be well with us." 2 Nephi 28:7. It means we have to do all that we can in this life now! Do our best to exercise faith, repent, be baptized, use the guidance of the holy ghost, and endure to the end! And if we do so God shall exault us on high!
Love and miss you all! Hope yall have a baller week!
