Transfers!!

Good morning Everyone!! And sorry ive been sending emails like every other week! Lol ill do better! But it's been an amazing week! And can't wait to get Into it.

This week we had transfers. And sadly my comp Elder Wolthuis left me for the Netherlands! I was sad to see him go but was so so hyped for him to go to his original assignment! But I'm so grateful for my time with him he truly was a friend to me and a baller comp! But during transfers I got to be temporary companions with Elder Patterson and he was heading out as well. He finally finished his mission and it was just really amazing to spend some time with him before he left. But he's going to BYU so I'll see him for sure on the weekends in Utah!

Also other big unrelated news...I decided to play baseball next semester at USU eastern so I'm hyped about that!

But on transfer day I got to pick up a greenie! His name is Elder Huston and he's a fisherman from Alaska! He's literally so cool! We right away just got into the work and this elder is solid and knows his stuff. Doesn't feel like I'm teaching with a brand new missionary! He's also probably the funniest kid I've ever met haha! He's constantly making me Crack up so I'm so grateful for that!

We also whitewashed areas! Same ward so I didn't have to move apartments or anything but we are in the Daly city area now! This is wayyyyy better because our old area was a lot of rich neighborhoods in sf but Daly city is a lot of humble people from other countries! So it's been great meeting new people!

Also we met with our friend Chris this week who showed a little interest and showed him the covenant path cards we use. We asked if he wanted to be baptized and he said yes! And we said if you want to be baptized you have to come to church every Sunday. Lo and behold he came to church yesterday!  Let's Gooo! Prayers up for Chris!

This week I saw an amazing tender mercy id love to share! I got a call from a member in concord whose family I'd had a lot of contact with. Flashback to my third transfer I was at a stake conference and heard a wonderful testimony from a youth who was also a baseball player. He shared how he gave up going to an important baseball tournament to go to an fsy conference. And shared his testimony about how that experience blessed him and grew his testimony. So after the conference I naturally went up to him and introduced myself and shared my testimony with him about how I left my baseball situation to serve a mission. I shared how my mission had already changed my life and encouraged him to consider the mission over college baseball! I didn't think anything of it. But a few months later I got a call from sister lash our MP wife about this family from concord. The mom of this kid found sister lashes number and had been tracking me down because what I said really had an impact on him! Sister lash said I needed to go throw the baseball with him on pdays bc it would be a good opportunity for him to be around missionaries. So after that almost every pday I would go and throw the ball around with him on pday. He was doing me a big service for sure but I would also share mission experiences with him and didn't really encourage him too much because he was very set on going to play college baseball. There was one week where I asked him if he ever wanted to serve a mission at all and he said "no not really." And I was like alright no worries and just kept sharing that he shouldn't throw out that as an option during his recruiting process. Fast forward to this week I got a call from the same mother of this kid. And she said that this week he had differed some scholarships and started his mission paperwork!!! I was so happy for him! The mother shared how I really had made the difference for him in his decision to serve a mission. I was just shocked and very very humbled. My knowlege and ability to play Baseball was something that I didn't think I would use on my mission to help others come unto christ. But I was very wrong! The lord used me and my talents to reach someone and I'm just so grateful he used me! I'm grateful for the sacrifice I did make to serve a mission and that I'm able to bless others lives!

Idk if anyone made it this far in my email but the lord loves you. And he desires all of us to come to his fold! This church is True and i have an undeniable witness of that! I'm humbled that he uses imperfect people like me to reach others! Remember to put more on the alter of sacrifice! He will bless you!

Love and miss you all!
