Last Christmas In Oaktown

Wow what another just amazingly spiritual and stellar week! Here's the quick updates 

PDAY. Last pday we played a bunch of zone games and it was so much fun! 

Noche Buena! Christmas eve was another amazing day! We spent alot of our time that day being santa clause and delivering all the Christmas gifts to the whole zone! We also performed again at the visitors center for an event there. And HOLY MOLY was that place packed! I was so nervous there was like over 180 people in there. And the VC is not a big place so that was alot for me! But I clutched up don't worry flawless singing performance by me and the other missionaries in our group! 

Christmas! Christmas was magical! We were able to get together with our districts and do a short district council! We made Christmas cookies! And then after the 2 Oakland zones all did a white elephant gift exchange and it was awesome! Some very creative and mischievous missionaries! We also had a Christmas dinner and we invited our recent convert husband Dan to join us and he came! His wife (our recent convert) was out of town and he didn't have a place to go for Christmas. It was a miracle bc he had a great time and he's been showing lots of interest in the gospel lately! And on Saturday we started teaching him which is great! Our prayers answered! He's the sweetest guy and we've been praying a lot for Dan! 

I think he's starting to realize the amazing changes the gospel can make in his life! There's lots of hope! Keep praying for Dan! 

Fast forward to Saturday when we started teaching him! We taught him the restoration and the spirit was so strong! Shout out my comp Elder Patterson bc he was so bold with him and he just totally accepted our invites and said he would try to read the bom and pray!!! Holy cow! 

Just keep praying his heart will be softened and he will continue to feel the spirit!

WHAT A WEEKEND!

Hey Everyone! Just checking back in after an amazing weekend of REVELATION! I love General Conference and the inspiring messages! I hope you were all able to tune in at some point and if you couldn't watch it watch it rn! The prophets voice is so powerful! After hearing his address there was a little bit of a sense that the second coming of christ is coming A LOT sooner than we may think! But also big news! A NEW TEMPLE IN QUEEN CREEK! I literally called it! Great to see the old hometown getting a house of the lord!  Besides conference this week was a good one! We had zone conference and it was focused on using the scriptures while teaching the doctrine of christ! So many scriptures that I wrote down!! Also this week in Oakland has been HOTTT. it's been getting up to 100 degrees in the bay which is unusual here. Usually I wouldn't complain. New Year New Elder

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!  This week was so fast but it was a good one lots of miracles! A cool miracle was we met an innactive member earlier this week and we just had dinner with her tonight and gave her a blessing and she's coming to church this week! It was a miracle because we were tracting and happened to knock on her door she was so happy to see us and almost started crying! Just goes to show the lord truly guides us missionaries!  Our friend Christopher didn't end up getting baptized this weekend. Everything is OK though he is still going to get baptized just needs more time understanding things and we are having daily contacts with him to help him! He's just come so far from where he used to be and he's going to continue to grow because that's one of the blessings that comes from the atonement and something that can truly change us when we use it.
