New Transfer

Hello hello everyone!! It was another great week out here in Cali! We had a transfer this week and sadly I had to say goodbye to Elder Odupolu :( I'm gonna miss him we had such a great time together! But I'm excited for this transfer! My new companion is Elder Allen! He's from Tremonton Utah! Second comp from the factory lol! Elder Allen is so funny! We are already having so much fun! I'm also technically supposed to be training him as a Zone leader which will be interesting bc I don't even know how to be a zone leader myself haha jk not really tho!

This past week we had an amazing lesson with our friend Angel he's a retired professional soccer player and now he just lives with his wife and dog simba and coches little kids soccer. Literally so adorable it makes me want to throw up...jk not really tho! We also had a friend finally come to Church!!!! It's been a minute since we've had someone come to church off of our own efforts. It's tougher out here for sure but what a blessing! Her name is Chastity and she is SO PREPARED! She's already reading the book of Mormon and has so many great questions! Serving in the YSA is such a blessing bc she came to church from our member inviting her and continue to text her through the week about church! Literally member work is so important it's great! So much to look forward to in our area! We also played pickleball with my new best friend Ryan again! Fire! I still lost but I'm working on it!

Spiritual thought this week comes for shoutout to my mom, step mom, aunts, grandmother, sisters and the other amazing mother figures in my life! In the Book of Mormon there's an amazing story of 2000 stripling sons who weren't very skilled but were set up with a major task!! Through their faith in God and faith in their mothers words they preserved! They faught in battle with miraculous power and their leader was astonished by their faith. In alma 56 verse 47,48 it states...
"Now they never had fought, yet they did not fear death; and they did think more upon the liberty of their fathers than they did upon their lives; yea, they had been taught by their mothers, that if they did not doubt, God would deliver them. 48 And they rehearsed unto me the words of their mothers, saying: We do not doubt our mothers knew it." These verses hit deep to me because I've been taught so much by the mothers in my life! They've shown tough faith through trials and inspire me every day! Shout out love all the mom's out there!....especially the hot mom's hehe

Also Happy birthday to my birth giver! Love ya mom!
