Shoulder To The Wheel!

Wow what another great week in Oakland! I am truly blessed to be serving in Oakland especially at this most crucial time in these latter days!! Anyways some highlights from the week!

I went on an exchange with Elder Mallory from St. George! He's really cool and he's also 100% deaf! But he does have hearing implants so he hears normally with them in kind of crazy how technology works! Anyways I had a good day with him with many miracles he has such a strong testimony in this restored gospel. His favorite line to say is "God bless Joseph Smith" he really loves the restored gospel! A funny story from the exchange was that I forgot to change into my shoes after my study so I was mobbing down the streets of Oakland in birkenstocks for a couple hours on accident! Haha the real ones know that this was a blessing in disguise!

Throughout this whole week we saw many miracles! Training new missionaries has been amazing these elders are really receptive and pick things up really quickly. They still think Oakland is a little wild sometimes but they are learning to love it!

This week I would love if everyone back home kept our friend Uncle Butch in prayers he got covid and he's 77 years old so it's pretty scary and he's really sick! And we would also love prayers for our friend Christopher this week he gets baptized and we need prayers that he can stay strong from the coffee! He's doing amazing but doesn't hurt to have extra prayers!

This week I had a good time studying diligence as a christlike attribute! There was just so much more to diligence than I thought. Diligence is literally acting upon all the other christlike attributes and applying them diligently! Diligence is becoming christlike! It's not just being busy but your thoughts and your mind are always focused on others and how you could help them and the plan you're acting on to help them! President Eyring says it best. "Whenever I am tempted to feel that I have finished some hard task in his service and deserve a rest. The saviors example gives me courage to press on." To be like the savior is HARD. But believe it or not we can always do more to become like our savior! I invite all this week to be a little bit more diligent in following Jesus Christ! I love you all so much and miss yall everyday! I have a short P-Day for temple trip this week so it ends at 4pm pst!! So gimme a call!
