Pasta Party

Hey everyone! I hope you're all having a great morning and great start to the week! 
This week in the field has been amazing everything has just flown by. This week was pretty eventful lots of hard work and lots of blessings starting to show!


First something that's been amazing is the big family that we've started teaching have been amazing! They're starting to add the book of Mormon onto their scripture study that they already have as a family every night! And 2 of the older teenagers have expressed a desire to be baptized so we were able to invite them to be baptized and they accepted! Their date is January 1st because they said they want to start the new year right! We are so amazed by their faith already! 


So besides that amazing family we've also gotten in touch with an old referral we got from missionaries in Oakland and needless to say the referrals from these specific missionaries are known for not being real or the people having 0 interest or just wanting to bash! So when we ran into this old referral from them in public he was so happy to see missionaries! It turns out he's been reading the book of Mormon all on his own for the past like 2 months and when he ran into us had so many questions. Turns out he's actually really busy and he was a reap referral with real interests but we were able to play basketball with him and his cousin, teach the restoration and testify of the divinity of the book of Mormon! It was such a spiritual experience! 


Now regarding the title from the email my momma and my siblings will know I love the bacon butter pine nut modern honey pasta recipe!! And guess what? A member made it for us for dinner last night! That pasta never stood a chance! But it was so sweet that the member wanted to make something that I'm familiar with it was the best! 


Besides that it was an amazing week and I want to hear how everyone else is doing! 


This week I've studied alot about the sealing power and how the temple is just so important not only to our lives but our families! The sealing power was a huge gift from our heavenly father! 


I miss you all hope it's a good week and I love you all so much!

WHAT A WEEKEND!

Hey Everyone! Just checking back in after an amazing weekend of REVELATION! I love General Conference and the inspiring messages! I hope you were all able to tune in at some point and if you couldn't watch it watch it rn! The prophets voice is so powerful! After hearing his address there was a little bit of a sense that the second coming of christ is coming A LOT sooner than we may think! But also big news! A NEW TEMPLE IN QUEEN CREEK! I literally called it! Great to see the old hometown getting a house of the lord!  Besides conference this week was a good one! We had zone conference and it was focused on using the scriptures while teaching the doctrine of christ! So many scriptures that I wrote down!! Also this week in Oakland has been HOTTT. it's been getting up to 100 degrees in the bay which is unusual here. Usually I wouldn't complain. New Year New Elder

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!  This week was so fast but it was a good one lots of miracles! A cool miracle was we met an innactive member earlier this week and we just had dinner with her tonight and gave her a blessing and she's coming to church this week! It was a miracle because we were tracting and happened to knock on her door she was so happy to see us and almost started crying! Just goes to show the lord truly guides us missionaries!  Our friend Christopher didn't end up getting baptized this weekend. Everything is OK though he is still going to get baptized just needs more time understanding things and we are having daily contacts with him to help him! He's just come so far from where he used to be and he's going to continue to grow because that's one of the blessings that comes from the atonement and something that can truly change us when we use it.
