Birthday Email Wooo Hooo!

Wow another amazing week in the BOOKS! It's crazy how fast this week has been compared to last week haha I'm Def getting lost in the hard work already but this week's been amazing. Some of my highlights this week have come from the exchanges we got to have. I got to lead the area for the first time and it was kind of stressful. One of the ZL's Elder Requilman was my companion for the day and I was the senior comp and had to make all the decisions and all the planning it was difficult lol but I learned a lot and made me appreciate my companion more bc he's so much better at it than me lol. But it was good and I had a good time and I didn't totally wreck the day haha. The other highlight was my exchange with my homie Elder Kolak it was one of the best days I've had on the mission so far. Elder kolak is from Tailand and he's known English only from the mtc and from the 2 weeks being out here in the field but he's actually insane at English and I'm so proud of him. While we were walking around tracting every house we knocked and someone said something outlandish he always cracked me up with something to say it was an amazing day! We both opened up about some things we are struggling with because we are both new to the mission and he has different struggles than i do because hes struggling with the language and we just both bonded with the fact that it's hard But we have each other and we are like brothers and can always help each other! Besides leading the area for 2 days which was cool and very hard we had a baptisms this past Saturday!!! It was the most amazing day and so spiritual. It was extra spiritual because right before we had canes bc the only canes is in Oakland near the temple (where the temple was) so we were able to get some of the heavenly chicken right before an amazing baptism. At the baptism we had soooo many people there and so so many members who supported. The members here are up for anything! And help so much their were a million treats and it just added to the spirit of the baptism. Tyshaun and Teashawn were baptized and wow are they amazing! They are just great young men who are trying to be the best versions of themselves and have such great testimonies! Seeing their smiles at the baptism just makes you feel some kind of way! Just a fresh reminder of my baptism and a fresh reminder to me to always work hard to grow my faith like they have been doing! Some of the scriptures I'd suggest and invite everyone to ponder this week is from 2 Nephi 31 because it talks about Christ's baptism! It's amazing how christ was baptized and amazing that we have the book of Mormon to teach us more about it. He had to do that for us even though he was perfect he needed to show the example because it's an essential ordinance for us to live with him again! I have such a strong testimony of baptism! I have a strong testimony of christ and that he lives today! I love you all I hope you can feel my love and more importantly Christ's love for you!

WHAT A WEEKEND!

Hey Everyone! Just checking back in after an amazing weekend of REVELATION! I love General Conference and the inspiring messages! I hope you were all able to tune in at some point and if you couldn't watch it watch it rn! The prophets voice is so powerful! After hearing his address there was a little bit of a sense that the second coming of christ is coming A LOT sooner than we may think! But also big news! A NEW TEMPLE IN QUEEN CREEK! I literally called it! Great to see the old hometown getting a house of the lord!  Besides conference this week was a good one! We had zone conference and it was focused on using the scriptures while teaching the doctrine of christ! So many scriptures that I wrote down!! Also this week in Oakland has been HOTTT. it's been getting up to 100 degrees in the bay which is unusual here. Usually I wouldn't complain. New Year New Elder

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!  This week was so fast but it was a good one lots of miracles! A cool miracle was we met an innactive member earlier this week and we just had dinner with her tonight and gave her a blessing and she's coming to church this week! It was a miracle because we were tracting and happened to knock on her door she was so happy to see us and almost started crying! Just goes to show the lord truly guides us missionaries!  Our friend Christopher didn't end up getting baptized this weekend. Everything is OK though he is still going to get baptized just needs more time understanding things and we are having daily contacts with him to help him! He's just come so far from where he used to be and he's going to continue to grow because that's one of the blessings that comes from the atonement and something that can truly change us when we use it.
